As A Boy Keith grew up around stockcar racing in upstate NY, Going with his family to the races and watching and
admiring the drivers, at the area tracks such as Lebanon Valley, Albany Saratoga, Devils Bowl and Fonda Speedways,
and following some of the drivers such as Hector Stratton, Jumpin Jack Johnson, Wild Warren Pease, Frank Hoard, Brett
Hearn and Barefoot Bob McCreadie and Kenny Tremont.
Keith moved to Florida in 1998 with his Mom and started driving at Volusia Speedway in 1999 he raced a half a year in the
pure stock division and won his first race in May of 1999. In 2000 his Uncle Gary helped him put together a pure stock and
won several races that year. Keith didn’t race again until 2003 when he drove hobby stock for Tommy Saunders for a half
a season and then raced a pure stock his sister Kris and brother in-law Frank had put together for the last part of the
season.
In October of 2001 Keith’s Brother Todd, also an avid race fan and driving an enduro car in upstate NY, was killed in an
auto accident. Keith flew up and drove his car for him in his memory for the last race that year with a picture of him
fastened to the dashboard so he could be with him for the race; he ended up second for that race.
In 2003 Keith’s Dad and Step mom moved down from upstate NY and Keith’s family all got together and formed Xtreme
Racing. It was agreed to use the number 19 in memory of Keith’s brother as it was his soccer number and then the T for
his brother Todd, so in 2004 the family put together a mini stock car an the number 19T became Keith’s number to carry
in memory of his Brother.
With Keith starting the mini stock division in 2004 he picked up Kickin Chickin as a sponsor and had 4 or 5 wins that
season. In 2005 it was a rough season with many misfortunes with only a win or two. In 2006 they had a new car built by
Central Florida race cars and a new motor built by H and R Horsepower. Prestige Ford came on board as the sponsor for
the year. Keith started the season out at Volusia Speedway but only stayed part of the season as controversy came about
and even though he was leading in the point he decided to leave the track. He then continued his season at Putnam
County where he had a good remaining season.
.At the end of 2006 he got into a late model for the first time, his first race out he was in a bad accident and had a big
scare but over came that. His second race out in the late model he got a win. Being only his second time in a late model
he was very excited as we all were.
In 2007 we raced mostly at Putnam County Speedway where we had several wins and had a very successful year. We
made a lot of friends and gained a lot of fans.
In 2008 Xtreme Racing comes out sporting a new body and color (white) as well as new sponsor
Cardio Vascular Associates of Lake County as well as A&M Auto and H&R Horsepower. We are now racing at Ocala
Speedway which for years has been an asphalt track but has decided to go back to their roots and have converted the
asphalt to dirt.
