Born in Bennington, Vermont on March 14, 1958 and the youngest of five boys. I lost my father at the age of two to a
heart attack and was raised by my mother along with my four brothers until the age of fourteen when my mother met my
stepfather. My stepfather was a Ford mechanic by trade and he taught me a lot about working on cars. After High school I
joined the U.S. Army and went into motor transport. After being honorably discharged from the Army I became a mechanic
working on commission at which I was very successful and made a good living. I was also very much interested in drag
racing and horsepower. I eventually went on to become an over the road truck driver which I stayed with for over fifteen
years until I became the Safety Director for a trucking company and with the opportunity to be at home made the decision
with my wife to get into dirt track racing. I began to utilize my strong background in mechanics to help with the success of
the team although after being away from the profession for so long I had to reach deep into my memory banks for the
information that I had not used in many years. I have always been an avid fan of Ford products and as a teenager I took a
lot of criticism from others who were Chevy and Dodge fans when I was into drag racing and usually the criticism stopped
when I crossed the finish line in the quarter mile ahead of them. I am and will always be a Ford horsepower person.  I have
found it to be very enjoyable and challenging working with dirt track cars and the setup along with the opportunity to go
back to where I began with working on engines and the mechanical aspect as well as having the chance to see the results
on the track behind the wheel. This has been a wonderful experience and I have met some of the most wonderful people
and developed close friendships making the decision that my wife and I made a very rewarding one which I hope
continues for a very long time. I was raised to help others in every way that you can and to never ask for anything in
return. I practice every day to maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty striving for the respect of everyone I
meet. I strongly believe that if you have to cheat to win then you really haven’t won and without competition there is no
satisfaction in winning!
